We are pleased to announce that the Market Transformation Advisory Board (MTAB) members starting terms in April 2026 will be:
- Hayley Goodson, TURN | Ratepayer Advocacy/Protection
- Jillian Rich, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) | Evaluation Professional
- Peter Miller, independent (formerly NRDC) | Environmental Advocacy
- Abhilasha Wadhwa, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) | CPUC representative
Two of these members are current MTAB members that reapplied for their seats and were chosen among other candidates. The CPUC representative, Abhilasha Wadhwa, was seated by the CPUC’s Energy Division.
“We are excited to build on our partnership with MTAB as we advance market transformation initiatives designed to deliver lasting, inclusive energy efficiency outcomes across California,” said Lynette Curthoys, Vice President of Market Transformation at Resource Innovations who oversees administration of the CPUC’s CalMTA program.
The MTAB plays a vital role in supporting CalMTA’s work, bringing diverse expertise and perspectives to help shape California’s market transformation initiatives. MTAB members provide independent, non-binding guidance to both CalMTA and the CPUC throughout the planning and implementation process. Their contributions include evaluating proposed initiatives, offering input on research and development plans, and monitoring overall progress.
“We would also like to express our gratitude to Fred Gordon, who has served on the MTAB for the last three years providing invaluable expertise to guide our initiative development and evaluation planning efforts,” Curthoys added. “Fred will continue to collaborate with CalMTA through his role on the Evaluation Advisory Group.”
